Psychiatrist Ronald Pies MD writes poetry and has published a chapbook of poems with themes about health and medicine.
“I think the chapbook would be of interest to most health care professionals, but also to those who must care for aging parents or are dealing with the aging process itself,” he says.
“The Heart Broken Open” is available at the Harvard Book Store. Pies is a professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Syracuse’s Upstate Medical University.
